The Story Behind Harmony

Courtney Albin Counseling was born in November 2020, and appointment slots quickly filled up as a number of people were ready to take charge of their mental health. As exhilarating as it was to watch the business grow so quickly, it also made it tricky for clients to find appointment times that fit their availability.

Continued growth for the practice wouldn't be possible in one tiny shared office, so the business was moved to a more spacious location in July 2021, and eventually additional counselors joined the team. These changes meant "Courtney Albin Counseling" no longer reflected the direction the business was moving in, so the search for a new name was on. “Harmony” was the obvious choice as we operate off the belief that internal peace is built on harmony between the mind, body, and spirit. We also plan to add additional services beyond individual counseling to better support all three areas.
 
The company logo was also redesigned to reflect the changes, and it was developed with the intention to emphasizes the mind, body, and spirit connection. The three green rings are identical in magnitude and equally converge in the middle, which creates harmony between them. However, each ring also is unique. When looked at closely, each of them have their own shade of green. Too often we see the mind, body, and spirit as separate entities, but they’re actually more alike than different.
 
We can’t fully express how grateful we are for those who've entrusted us with their mental health journey. We don’t take this honor lightly, and want to show our gratitude by creating an exceptional experience, both inside and outside of sessions. We look forward to showing our current and future clients the positive changes that can be achieved through Harmony.
